Chef Jake Saul Watkins has put his Petersfield restaurant JSW up for sale after deciding to step away from the business.

Watkins has operated JSW for 18 years, receiving a Michelin star in 2004. The chef retained the accolade for a decade and a half, losing the award in the 2019 edition of the guide.

He said: “After 18 fantastic years I will be swapping my whites to concentrate on other business interests.

“It is with a heavy heart that I decided to move on from JSW, mainly because it is still a fantastically profitable business.”

The grade II listed property, a former coaching inn, is now on the market with a guide price of £1.25m.
